Charlie’s portfolio

Hi I am Charlie, and welcome to my website. On this page I have curated some projects I’ve done over the years.

This World Wide Web site

This website is hand-coded by me in vanilla html and css (you don’t need a framework for everything, or javascript for that matter). It is served from a Raspberry Pi 5 sitting in my bookshelf running Fedora Server with Apache httpd. A light, static site with no intrusive popups, telemetry or other enshitification. You can read here about how the site is compiled.

My small attempt of a more human web.
Oh that sweet old 90s clipart.

Train information on Apple Watch

A current project I'm working on is a Apple Watch app for displaying live train information. It fetches data from the Trafikverket API and display if the train is delayed, the current speed, estimated arrival time and track location. You can read more about it here.

1st place in Junction 2023 Hackathon

Together with ny friend Johanna, Kenta and Sae we won 1st place at one of Europe's largest hackathons. Our team designed a solution to make large language models more sustainable and reliable, addressing the growing environmental and trust challenges of generative AI.

Web Component

I like using my Polaroid camera, and some years ago I was intrested in creating my first web component. So I decided to combine them into one. It was a fun exercise, navigating the many quirks of how custom elements function. You can read more here.
